Description

The Regional Center for Community Development (CRDC) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and apolitical organization active in the Southern Development Region of the Republic of Moldova. Founded in 2019 in the village of Taraclia de Salcie, CRDC has established itself as a key player in community development, offering innovative solutions to promote civic engagement, social inclusion, and sustainable development.

Our organization is dedicated to supporting young people, women, vulnerable groups, and local communities by facilitating educational, social, and community initiatives aimed at improving quality of life and ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities.

We are actively involved in creating and implementing local public policies, contributing to increased transparency in decision-making and strengthening the relationship between citizens and local authorities. Through the initiative groups and community leaders we support, we encourage communities to identify their challenges and needs and to become active agents of change.

CRDC is also the only organization in the region accredited by the Ministry of Education and Research as a host institution for volunteering. We offer a well-structured volunteer program based on official contracts, volunteer booklets, and training opportunities, providing both young people and adults with the chance to actively engage in their communities and acquire essential skills for personal and professional development.

History
2019
Starting in 2019, the CRDC Association was a locally impactful organization, initially operating in the commune of Taraclia de Salcie and focusing on rural community development. Over time, thanks to the results achieved and the growing need for regional involvement, we began expanding our area of action, collaborating with several localities in the Southern Development Region.
2023
In 2023, in response to this steady growth and the diversification of our projects, we reorganized and moved our office to the city of Cahul, transforming CRDC into a regionally impactful organization. This strategic change allowed us to be closer to our beneficiaries and institutional partners, access new funding opportunities, and develop initiatives with a broader impact in both urban and rural areas.
Today
Today, CRDC is an active regional organization in the south of the Republic of Moldova, involved in local, national, and international projects. Through expertise, training, mentorship, advocacy, and institutional support, we empower communities, public authorities, and civil society organizations to generate real change. We work alongside young people, women, and vulnerable groups to build sustainable initiatives, strengthen civic participation, and transform community needs into concrete solutions with lasting impact.
Team
Since 2019, our team of professionals has dedicated time, energy, and passion to building a region that is more active, engaged, and connected to social realities. We focus on community development, civic engagement, and youth education, creating innovative projects and safe spaces where ideas come to life.

CRDC is made up of people who believe in the power of change and work side by side with local communities to bring concrete solutions.
