In May, the “Regional Center for Community Development” (CRDC) celebrated five years of activity through a landmark anniversary event – Community Impact Gala, organized with the support of the project “Resilience of Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries”, part of the regional initiative implemented by People in Need Moldova and funded by the European Union in the Republic of Moldova, co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic under the “Transition” Cooperation Program.
The event brought together community members, local and regional partners, public authority representatives, and colleagues from the southern region. Mayor Nicolae Dandiș honored the invitation with a congratulatory message and words of encouragement for CRDC’s continued involvement in the development of the local community.
The Gala was not only a celebration of our journey so far but also a reaffirmation of CRDC’s mission – to support citizens, local initiatives, and the strengthening of civil society. As a sign of appreciation, our local partners received certificates of recognition for their contribution to achieving our shared vision.
In just the last 7 months, CRDC implemented seven strategic initiatives with a total budget of over €77,000, demonstrating the organization’s ability to turn resources into tangible, impactful results. Over five years of activity, we have carried out more than 20 projects, built an active network of over 5,000 unique beneficiaries, and contributed to visible changes in dozens of communities in southern Moldova – through initiatives in community journalism, media literacy, volunteering, leadership, and civic participation.
We look to the future with hope, professionalism, and determination, confident that our greatest achievements are still to come. CRDC remains committed to the communities of southern Moldova, continuing to build bridges of collaboration, development, and resilience.
