NGO Forum 2024: “Civil Society for European Integration”

On December 4–5, 2024, the team of the Regional Center for Community Development (CRDC) had the honor of participating in the NGO Forum 2024 — a landmark event for civil society in the Republic of Moldova. Held in Chișinău, the Forum brought together over 200 representatives of non-governmental organizations, public authorities, development partners, and international experts, creating a valuable space for dialogue, experience exchange, and joint initiatives.

Key Moments and CRDC’s Contribution

• Plenary sessions: Our team joined debates and presentations focused on the role of civil society in the EU accession process, as well as on strengthening the NGO sector in Moldova.
• Thematic workshops: We actively participated in sessions on NGO digitalization, exploring innovative solutions and practical tools that can transform how organizations operate.
• Discussions on collaboration and sustainability: We had the opportunity to address challenges and future prospects for local organizations, emphasizing the importance of stronger cooperation between CSOs, authorities, and communities.

Election of the New National NGO Council 2025–2026

A highlight of the Forum was the election of the new National NGO Council, which will represent the interests of the civic sector for the next two years. The new Council is composed of 11 NGOs from various sectors. We wish them great success in this important mandate!

Results and Future Inspiration

Our participation in the NGO Forum 2024 was a valuable experience that provided us with:

• Inspiration for new initiatives that can positively impact communities in the Southern region;
• Useful knowledge and resources for the digitalization and development of our organization;
• Collaboration opportunities with other CSOs and international partners.
