No to Corruption, Yes to Integrity!
Fighting Corruption and Promoting Integrity in Society
In a society where the temptation of corruption is growing, it is essential to reflect on the consequences and choose the right path. Is it easier to opt for quick and superficial solutions, or to firmly commit to the values of integrity and justice?
In the current context, we firmly emphasize that our answer is a resounding no. It is not easier to engage in acts of corruption or to be complicit in them, under the pressure of a conscience that constantly reminds us that our actions harm others. It is not easier to pay bribes and live under the threat of being discovered.
Moreover, we must remember that any attempt to gain advantages through corrupt means only leads to regression and stagnation in society. Corruption is the antonym of progress, and every act of integrity is a step in the right direction.
With this objective in mind, members of the Integrity Youth Club, in collaboration with the SymbolMedia film crew, created a video to remind and encourage the community to adopt a behavior based on integrity. We urge our peers to reject corruption and embrace integrity, to fight for what is right instead of looking for easy and fast solutions.
This activity is carried out within the Project “Strengthening the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Mechanisms in the Republic of Moldova”, co-financed by the European Union, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). In the Southern Development Region, project partners are “Pro-Europa” together with “REDI”, who are implementing the project “Supporting the Involvement of Civil Society in Building Anti-Corruption Infrastructure in the Southern Region of the Republic of Moldova”.
The Community Regional Development Center (CRDC) from Cahul is a beneficiary of the EU and BMZ Local Grants Program and is implementing the project “Integrity in Education and Health”.
