Participation of the Regional Center for Community Development in the Civil Society Organizations Fair – 2023 Edition

On May 13, 2023, the Regional Center for Community Development (CRDC) had the honor of participating in the second edition of the Civil Society Organizations Fair, held in the Great National Assembly Square in Chișinău, as part of the European Village dedicated to Europe Day. The event brought together dozens of organizations from across the country, providing a platform for promoting European values, cross-sectoral collaboration, and the exchange of best practices.

Prize Lottery and Promotion of the Cahul Region

On this occasion, CRDC organized a prize lottery designed to draw visitors’ attention to the beauty and tourism potential of the Cahul Region. The quiz questions focused exclusively on the specific features of the region, testing knowledge about:

  • Local festivals such as Crescendo, Moldox, and the Lower Prut Nature Reserve;
  • The “Nufărul Alb” Sanatorium, the “B.P. Hașdeu” Theatre, “B.P. Hașdeu” State University, and other iconic tourist attractions.

We were delighted to discover that both young people and adults from Chișinău are familiar with and appreciate the cultural, touristic, and educational identity of our region.

Exchange of Experiences and New Partnerships

Participation in the fair was a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences with other civil society organizations (CSOs) from across the country. We established new collaborative relationships and gathered inspiring ideas worth applying to our organizational work.

The event also served as a platform to promote CRDC’s implemented projects and to strengthen connections with the general public and institutional partners. CRDC representatives informed visitors about the services provided and the results achieved in support of communities in the Southern Region of the Republic of Moldova.

An Event Supporting Civil Society

The second edition of the CSO Fair was organized within the framework of the “Partnerships for Women’s Leadership and Good Governance” project, implemented by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Moldova and AO Institutum Virtutes Civilis, with financial support from the European Union in the Republic of Moldova and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. The event aimed to promote transparency, civic engagement, and cooperation among CSOs for community development.
