Awareness activity on gender-based violence held in Ceadîr-Lunga

The Regional Center for Community Development, in partnership with the organization “Mirkiras,” continues its efforts to raise awareness and inform the public as part of the ongoing campaign focused on preventing and combating gender-based violence. One of the recent activities took place in Ceadîr-Lunga, where a safe space was created for dialogue, reflection, and learning.

Participants watched the film “Culorile”, a production that subtly and realistically highlights situations of violence that often go unnoticed in everyday life. Following the screening, open discussions were held, during which the ways to recognize signs of abuse and the support options available within the community were explored.

A key moment of the activity was the presentation of the guide “Siguranța ta este o prioritate” — a practical tool offering clear information and useful contacts for individuals at risk in the ATU Gagauzia region. The guide was developed to facilitate access to specialized support services and to assist victims of violence.

Through such initiatives, the formation of a more informed, vigilant, and supportive community is encouraged.

The civil society organizations Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară and Public Association "Mirkiras" implement this activity within the project “Resilience of Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries”, which is part of a regional initiative developed by People in Need Moldova, funded by the European Union in the Republic of Moldova and co-funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, under the “Transition” Cooperation Program.
