From Local Problems to Advocacy Mini-Plans

From Local Problems to Advocacy Mini-Plans

After the training sessions carried out within the YELI Caravan, young people from Cahul, Cantemir, Leova, Taraclia and Ceadîr-Lunga moved on to the next stage: transforming the identified problems into advocacy mini-plans.

In April 2026, five practical workshops were organized, during which participants worked on ideas coming from their own communities. The purpose of these workshops was to help young people move from identifying a problem to formulating a solution and planning concrete action steps.

The young people discussed the problems that directly affect them and how these can be addressed through civic engagement, dialogue with authorities and community mobilization. Each group analyzed the local context, relevant stakeholders, existing resources and possible solutions that could be promoted.

During the workshops, participants worked on defining the problem, setting objectives, developing advocacy messages and identifying the steps needed so that their ideas could be discussed with local public authorities and other community actors.

This stage was important because it transformed the energy and frustrations of young people into clearer and better-structured proposals. Instead of remaining at the level of “we don’t have spaces”, “we don’t have activities” or “we are not listened to enough”, young people began to formulate what exactly they wanted to change, who needed to be involved and what arguments they could use.

The workshops contributed to the formation of groups better prepared for dialogue with authorities and for the implementation of local initiatives. In this way, the project created a natural link between training, planning and community action.

The activities were organized by Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară within the project “The New Democracy Fund Moldova Extension 2025–2026”, implemented by the National Youth Council of Moldova, in partnership with DUF – Dansk Ungdoms Fællesråd (the Danish Youth Council), with the financial support of the New Democracy Fund.
