CRDC participated in the CNTM General Assembly, held in Cahul on 10–12 July
Between 10 and 12 July 2026, active young people, representatives of youth organizations and organizations working with young people from across the country gathered in Cahul for the General Assembly of the National Youth Council of Moldova.
For the Regional Center for Community Development, this edition had a special significance, as the General Assembly took place in Cahul, at the “B.P. Hasdeu” University Center, providing an important space for dialogue, connection and cooperation within the youth sector.
CRDC Administrator, Irina Bejan, participated in the work of the General Assembly and was elected as a member of the CNTM Censors’ Commission for the next mandate.
Three days dedicated to the youth sector
The CNTM General Assembly was an important exercise in democratic participation, reflection and planning for the coming years. Over the course of three days, participants discussed the priorities of the youth sector, the role of member organizations, current challenges and CNTM’s development directions.
An important moment of the General Assembly was the election of CNTM’s new governing bodies for the next 2 years.
Grigore Rînja was elected as CNTM President, while Laura Vition was elected as CNTM Vice-President.
The following members were elected to the new CNTM Administrative Board:
- Petru Crețu;
- Sofia Dudka;
- Snejana Jitari;
- Mădălina-Mihaela Antoci;
- Lorelei Grigoriță.
The following members were also elected to the new Censors’ Commission:
- Adelina Farima;
- Irina Bejan;
- Evelina Cojuhari.
For CRDC, Irina Bejan’s election to the Censors’ Commission represents both a responsibility and an opportunity to contribute to strengthening good governance, transparency and organizational accountability within the largest representative youth structure in the Republic of Moldova.
New organizations in the CNTM family
During the General Assembly, new applications for CNTM membership were discussed and voted on. As a result, new organizations were accepted both as full members and as members of the Consultative Chamber.
CRDC welcomes the expansion of the CNTM network and believes that the presence of a growing number of active organizations in the youth field contributes to strengthening a youth movement that is more representative, more diverse and more connected to the realities of communities in the Republic of Moldova.
We are especially pleased that this year’s election process brought forward not only dedicated professionals, but also a growing number of girls and young women taking on leadership, representation and responsibility roles. This is important for a more balanced, inclusive youth movement that is closer to the needs of all young people.
Irina Bejan’s vision as a member of the Censors’ Commission
In her new role as a member of the CNTM Censors’ Commission, Irina Bejan aims to contribute to a fair, responsible and transparent internal monitoring process, with respect for the efforts of member organizations and for CNTM’s mission.
“For me, the role of member of the CNTM Censors’ Commission means, first of all, responsibility towards the member organizations and towards the young people this structure represents. I strongly believe in clear processes, transparency and trust built through things done properly. I hope this mandate will be one in which the Censors’ Commission contributes calmly, professionally and constructively to the proper functioning of the organization.
I am glad that this General Assembly took place in Cahul, close to our community, and that we had the opportunity to see so many involved young people here — leaders who bring energy, experience and the desire to make the youth sector stronger. For CRDC, this is very valuable, because we believe in young people not only as beneficiaries of activities, but as people who can build, decide and change the communities they live in,” said Irina Bejan, CRDC Administrator.
The Guide for Working with Young People in NEET Situations, presented to participants
During the General Assembly, CRDC also had the opportunity to share with participants the “Guide for Working with Young People in NEET Situations”, developed by the Regional Center for Community Development in consortium with the “Anima” Training and Personal Development Center from Bălți.
The guide is intended for specialists, organizations and institutions working with young people who are not in education, employment or training. It includes practical tools for identifying NEET young people, screening, profiling needs, mapping local resources, developing an individual intervention plan and monitoring progress.
