CRDC at Equality Camp 2026: Three Days About Women, Safety, Courage and Solidarity

A.O. Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară participated in Equality Camp 2026, a space for learning, reflection and connection dedicated to gender equality, women’s safety and solidarity.

CRDC was represented at the event by Irina Bejan, the organisation’s administrator, who joined women from different communities and organisations for three days of sessions, discussions and exchanges of experience.

The programme addressed topics such as gender inequalities, stereotypes and social norms, gender-based violence, protection and response mechanisms, as well as the role of civil society organisations in preventing violence and supporting women and girls.

Beyond the training component, Equality Camp 2026 provided an important framework for exchanging experiences among participants, building new connections and discussing common challenges encountered in community-based work.

One of the key messages of the three days was the importance of solidarity among women and the existence of safe spaces where experiences can be shared without judgement, and where difficulties can be transformed into ideas, initiatives and concrete forms of support for other women and girls.

For A.O. Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară, participation in Equality Camp reconfirms the importance of continuously strengthening organisational capacities in the field of 00000

The experience gained and the connections created during the camp will contribute to the development of CRDC’s activities and to strengthening the organisation’s interventions in the communities where it works.

At the same time, the event once again demonstrated how important it is for women-led organisations and initiatives to have opportunities for learning, cooperation and mutual support. Sustainable change in communities is built through collaboration, trust and collective effort.

We thank Gender-Centru, the Platform for Gender Equality, UNFPA Moldova and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain through UK in Moldova – British Embassy Chisinau for creating this space for learning, reflection and connection.

For CRDC, participation in Equality Camp 2026 means new knowledge, new connections and a strengthened commitment to safer, more equitable and more supportive communities.
