Experience Exchange Between Youth from Ceadîr-Lunga and Cahul: Dialogue, Cooperation, and Joint Initiatives
On December 23, 2025, the municipality of Cahul hosted a study visit by representatives of the Youth Council and active young people from the municipality of Ceadîr-Lunga. The visit aimed to facilitate the exchange of experience and identify opportunities for cooperation between communities, with a focus on youth services development and youth civic engagement at local and regional levels.
During the visit, participants explored effective youth work models, discussed shared challenges, and examined prospects for long-term collaboration. Open dialogue and direct interaction contributed to strengthening relationships between young people from the two municipalities and to shaping ideas for joint initiatives.
The programme included visits to the Cahul District Youth Center and the Community Center Cahul, where participants became familiar with modern approaches to youth engagement, participatory formats, and initiatives successfully implemented at local and regional levels. These meetings provided not only access to good practices but also a space for joint reflection, exchange of ideas, and mutual learning.
An important role in organizing and facilitating the visit was played by the Regional Community Development Center (CRDC), which, as a community-based organization, continues to connect communities from different regions of the country and support cooperation among young people. CRDC’s experience in community mobilization, promoting civic participation, and supporting grassroots initiatives represented a valuable reference point for the participants.
The visit was also supported by the Ceadîr-Lunga City Hall and the Municipal Sports School named after S. Kioroglo, whose contribution ensured the smooth organization of the activity.
Such exchanges strengthen cooperation between communities and once again highlight the role of young people as key drivers of local development. The experience exchange between Ceadîr-Lunga and Cahul represents an important step toward building sustainable partnerships and initiating joint projects that respond to the real needs of young people in both communities.
