CRDC joins the “Women, Peace and Security” program
CRDC representatives are participating in the “Women, Peace and Security” program organized by IVC with the support of UNDP Moldova.
The Regional Community Development Center (CRDC) is joining the training and mentorship program dedicated to women leaders, organized by AO “Institutum Virtutes Civilis” (IVC) with the support of UNDP Moldova. CRDC’s participation aligns with our strategic directions on women’s leadership, social cohesion, and civic participation at the local level.
CRDC already implements initiatives on conflict prevention and social cohesion, programs dedicated to women, and activities addressing refugees and host communities. These include women’s clubs, community dialogue sessions, thematic workshops, and institutional collaborations at the local level.
The first session, held on 14 October in Chișinău, focused on participatory decision-making and the role of women in strengthening social cohesion, with an emphasis on the “Women, Peace and Security” framework.
“For CRDC, integrating WPS principles means clear procedures, cooperation with authorities, and verifiable community results. We join the program with practical experience in working with women and refugees, facilitating dialogue, and advancing social cohesion initiatives. Our goal is to connect these practices with the tools presented in the program in order to strengthen conflict prevention and reinforce local mechanisms for protection and participation.”
— Irina Bejan, CRDC Administrator
In the coming months, the program will continue with thematic sessions, mentorship, and structured dialogue with decision-makers, contributing to strengthening the role of women in local governance processes.
