Between January 3–6, 2025, the Regional Center for Community Development (C.R.D.C.) organized the YELI Leadership Lab, an intensive and inspiring initiative dedicated to young male and female leaders from the Southern Development Region. This program offered participants a formative experience with real impact, equipping them with the skills needed to become agents of change in their communities.
The main objective of the event was:
“Empowering participants in leadership and civic engagement to create positive change initiatives in their communities.”
The lab brought together 25 motivated young people from the region, who, over three days of intensive training, worked together in interactive sessions on the following key topics:
Personal leadership;
Community development;
Strategic planning of local actions.
Participants were guided by experienced trainers from the civic and education fields.
On the final day of the lab, the 5 formed teams presented their initiatives before an evaluation panel. After deliberation, two winning teams were selected to each receive funding certificates worth 1,000 EUR to implement their proposed projects:
Team “Hyperion” from Leova: Initiative: “Cultural Pavilion” – creating a modern community space for youth activities.
Team “Sade Gaz” from Tomai, Ceadîr-Lunga district: Initiative: “Level Up” – setting up a space for socializing and learning for young people in the community.
C.R.D.C. extends its thanks to all participants, trainers, and partners involved in this initiative. We congratulate the winning teams and wish them great success in implementing their projects, which will contribute to strengthening local communities and building a better future for youth.
This activity was carried out with the support of the project “EU4Youth: Youth Engagement and Empowerment,” co-funded by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
