CRDC at the General Assembly of the Gender Equality Platform (PEG)
This weekend, CRDC participated in the General Assembly of the Gender Equality Platform (PEG), an important moment for reconnecting, reflecting, and strategically planning for 2026. The event provided the necessary framework to analyze the progress made over the past year, discuss current trends, and establish common directions that strengthen the collective voice of the network.
As part of the PEG family, we reaffirmed our commitment to the values that define us: genuine collaboration between organizations, solidarity, women’s leadership, the protection of girls’ and women’s rights, and the development of a society in which gender equality is not just an objective, but a lived reality for all. Participation in the plenary session and thematic working groups allowed us to bring examples from our communities, share lessons learned, and contribute to shaping joint initiatives for national campaigns and advocacy efforts in the coming year.
The discussions within the working groups also focused on ways in which the network can improve its internal coordination, public visibility, and its capacity to better respond to the diverse needs of girls and women across the country. The contributions of member organizations once again demonstrated that local experience is a valuable resource in building a coherent national framework.
A significant moment of the meeting was the re-election of the Association “Honor and the Rights of the Contemporary Woman – ODFC” from Bălți as the host organization of the Platform’s Secretariat for another year. This reconfirmation reflects the members' appreciation for the professionalism of the team, their consistency, and their dedication to ensuring the functionality and cohesion of the network.
For CRDC, this General Assembly represented an exercise in coherence and clarity. Although we come from different regions and work with communities in diverse ways, we share the same vision: building a society in which the rights, dignity, and safety of women and girls are protected and respected. We leave more motivated, with clear directions for action and the confidence that together we can amplify the network’s impact.
The event was organized with the support of the East Europe Foundation – Moldova, funded by resources from Norway.
