CRDC Participated in the Second Coordination Meeting of the “Civic Engagement for Youth and Women Empowerment” Project

On 22 September 2026, A.O. Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară participated in the second coordination meeting organized within the project “Civic Engagement for Youth and Women Empowerment”, held in Chișinău.

For our team, this meeting had particular significance, as it marked our first participation in a coordination meeting as a new grant beneficiary organization and as part of the network of organizations involved in the project.

The event brought together grant beneficiary organizations, project partners and the East Europe Foundation team, providing a space for networking, exchange of experience and identification of opportunities for collaboration in the period ahead.

During the session dedicated to the new grant beneficiaries, the recently joined organizations presented their work and the community mobilization and advocacy initiatives they plan to implement. A.O. Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară, in turn, presented the direction of the initiative to be implemented in the south of the Republic of Moldova, with a focus on the participation of women and young people in local decision-making processes.

Another important topic of the meeting concerned the progress of initiatives already under implementation, the results achieved by beneficiary organizations, and opportunities for collaboration and exchange of experience within the network. The discussions helped identify common interests and potential synergies among the participating organizations.

The programme also included a study visit to the Association of Intellectual Games of the Republic of Moldova – AO AJRM. Participants had the opportunity to learn more about the organization’s work and to discuss concrete examples of community mobilization and civic participation, as well as challenges, lessons learned and the factors contributing to the development of sustainable local initiatives.

For CRDC, participation in this network represents not only the beginning of the implementation of a new initiative, but also an opportunity to build relationships with other organizations, learn from their experience and contribute to the development of more effective mechanisms for civic participation at the local level.

In the coming period, A.O. Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară will implement the project “Local Citizens’ Juries for Community Mobilization and Public Participation of Women and Youth”, which will work in three communities in the south of the Republic of Moldova and will aim to create spaces and mechanisms through which women and young people can participate more actively and meaningfully in local consultation and decision-making processes.
