The Success of Project Writing Workshops: Supporting Community Leaders in the Southern Region

The Regional Center for Community Development continues to support community growth by organizing a dedicated program for community leaders from the Southern Region of the Republic of Moldova.

Project Writing Workshop – Day One

The first day of the project writing workshop, organized by the Regional Center for Community Development, brought together community leaders from Cahul and Cantemir districts, as well as representatives of initiative groups and newly formed CSOs.
Participants learned about project structure, problem identification, how to complete project forms, and how to set goals, objectives, and action plans.
The workshop also offered participants the chance to build meaningful relationships for future collaboration.
The session was facilitated by Irina Bejan, the organization’s administrator and experienced trainer within the UPSHIFT Moldova program, TEKEDU.

Day Two: Budgeting and Financial Management

The second day was dedicated to essential topics for the success of community projects:

• Budget planning and identifying stakeholders and target groups.
• Personal, group, and organizational vision and mission.
• Financial management in the non-profit sector.

Our priority is to support community leaders, new organizations, and initiative groups on their path to success.

Day Three: Impact Presentations and Pitching

The final day of the training focused on preparing participants for presenting their ideas before selection committees:

• Presentation models and the structure of an effective pitch.
• Tips and techniques for attracting funding through well-presented projects.

This course significantly contributed to the participants’ ability to communicate their community development ideas clearly and persuasively.
