Young People from Cahul and Ceadîr-Lunga Connected through Experience Exchange

On 23 December 2025, the Public Association Regional Center for Community Development welcomed representatives of the Youth Council and active young people from Ceadîr-Lunga Municipality to Cahul for a visit dedicated to exchanging experience and developing new opportunities for cooperation between the two communities.

For CRDC, this meeting is part of a broader effort to connect youth actors and initiatives across southern Moldova. As a community-based organization active in Cahul and in cooperation with partners from Ceadîr-Lunga, we support the creation of bridges that allow young people to learn from one another, identify common interests and develop initiatives together.

The visit programme included meetings and discussions at the Cahul District Youth Center, Community Center Cahul and the Public Association Regional Center for Community Development.

Participants had the opportunity to learn more about local youth work models, civic engagement methods, community activities and initiatives developed at local and regional level.

During the meeting with the CRDC team, experiences were presented on engaging young people in community development processes, volunteering, civic participation and supporting initiatives that emerge directly from the community.

The visit was not limited to presenting activities that had already been implemented. The discussions also addressed challenges in youth work, ways of mobilizing young people and opportunities for joint initiatives between Cahul and Ceadîr-Lunga.

For CRDC, the value of such exchanges lies in the continuity they can generate. When young people and local organizations get to know each other directly, the exchange of experience can more easily develop into partnerships, joint activities and longer-term cooperation.

Cahul and Ceadîr-Lunga have different local contexts, but they also share many common interests in youth participation, volunteering development and strengthening local initiatives. Connecting these experiences can contribute to expanding the opportunities available to young people in both regions.

We thank the representatives and young people from Ceadîr-Lunga for the visit, their openness to dialogue and their interest in the experiences developed in Cahul.

CRDC will continue to support cooperation between communities in southern Moldova and to create opportunities in which young people, organizations and local institutions can jointly build initiatives and sustainable partnerships.
