Visit of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to CRDC

Today, the team of the Regional Community Development Center (CRDC) had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Mr. Fred Duijn, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Moldova.

The meeting provided an open space for dialogue, during which we presented CRDC’s activities and initiatives focused on community development, with a particular emphasis on youth engagement and the strengthening of civic participation at local and regional levels. We also discussed the key challenges faced by the region, as well as the needs and aspirations of young people in southern Moldova, as identified through our direct work with communities.

During the discussions, we learned more about the priorities and initiatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Moldova, especially in the areas of youth, civic education, and support for community-based initiatives. The exchange of perspectives highlighted the potential for developing common areas of cooperation, grounded in shared values such as active participation, inclusion, and sustainable development.

We appreciate the genuine interest and openness shown towards our organization’s work and the realities of local communities. We are confident that the dialogue initiated during this visit will contribute to strengthening cooperation and to the development of relevant initiatives for young people and communities in the medium and long term.
