“The Voices of Young Community Journalists of A.O. C.R.D.C.: Cristina Belîi”
Cristina Belîi is an active and dedicated young woman who successfully combines her studies at the Public Institution Cahul Medical College with participation in various volunteering activities and community initiatives.
As a community journalist, Cristina investigated the lack of a centralized resource that would bring together all support services and centers for people with special needs in Cahul. Through her research, she discovered that although several institutions provide such support, they are not sufficiently visible or accessible to those who need them.
In order to address this issue, Cristina engaged in discussions with representatives of service-providing institutions and conducted a thorough analysis of existing services. As a result, the relevant support centers were identified and made accessible through a dedicated resource.
The complete list, including contact details, addresses, and services offered by these centers, can be accessed at:

To further enhance the usefulness of this resource, similar services from Chișinău were also included, providing alternatives for individuals who are unable to find appropriate support in Cahul.

Cristina’s experience within the project
“I am satisfied with this project — I appreciated the organization and the mentors, who were very supportive. I believe this was a valuable experience in exploring community issues and understanding that they can be addressed through community journalism. The writing process was more complex but also interesting, as it required careful analysis of the situation, accurate data collection, and presenting the information in a way that is easy for readers to understand. I am convinced that the project not only improved my writing and research skills, but also gave me the confidence that positive change can be achieved through journalism.”
