“The Voices of Young Community Journalists of A.O. C.R.D.C.: Onofrei Daria”
Onofrei Daria, a student at the “Dimitrie Cantemir” Theoretical Lyceum in Cahul, is one of the young participants who stood out through her active involvement in the “V.O.C.E.” project and other media education initiatives implemented by our organization.
In her articles, she addressed the issue of waste management in Cahul, highlighting its negative impact on public health and the environment. At the same time, she informed the public about the solutions proposed by the municipality, as outlined in an official response from the Cahul City Hall, which sets out concrete steps for efficient waste management — from infrastructure modernization to the improvement of separate waste collection.
Through these materials, the young journalist reiterates the importance of respecting environmental protection measures and promoting environmental education. Her involvement demonstrates that the younger generation can play a significant role in informing the community and advocating for sustainable solutions for the environment.

Daria’s experience within the project
“Working on an article within a community journalism project is a valuable experience that helped me develop my analytical, writing, and information-handling skills. It is important to choose a relevant topic, verify facts, structure the material, and present it in a clear and engaging way. Such an experience supports the creation of accurate and compelling texts and also strengthens the ability to express ideas in a coherent manner.”
