“The Voices of Young Community Journalists of A.O. C.R.D.C.: Rîbacov Loredana”

Loredana Rîbacov, a student at the “Liubomir Chiriac” Gymnasium in the commune of Antonești, Cantemir district, is a young woman who stood out through the dedication and enthusiasm with which she embraced the community journalism initiative implemented by the Regional Center for Community Development. Following an information session organized in her locality, Loredana decided to get involved in the project, quickly demonstrating the skills of a young community journalist.

She addressed an issue affecting young people in the commune of Antonești — the lack of an adequate space for recreational activities. In her article, Loredana describes how teenagers in the community are forced to gather in places that do not meet their needs and interests. Through clear arguments and concrete examples, she highlights the consequences this situation has on their personal and social development.

To further emphasize the importance of the topic, Loredana participated in a meeting with representatives of the local public authorities (LPA) of Antonești, where she courageously presented the issue highlighted in her article. Her intervention underscored the need for close collaboration between authorities, educational institutions, and the community to create a safe and attractive space that would offer opportunities for socialization and personal development for young people in the commune.

Through her initiative, Loredana demonstrates how community journalism can give a voice to the younger generation, turning it into a genuine catalyst for change.

Loredana’s experience within the project

“Writing the article about the lack of spaces for young people was an interesting experience. I analyzed the problem, provided arguments and examples, highlighting the need for places for socialization and activities. I also proposed solutions, such as the development of modern parks. It was an opportunity to express our ideas and to get involved in the community.”
