“Common Roots – A Sustainable Future”: Community Planting Activity in Cahul
With great pleasure, the CRDC team, in partnership with the Community Center Cahul, announces the successful implementation of the Community Planting Activity “Common Roots – A Sustainable Future”, an initiative dedicated to promoting civic engagement, social cohesion, and environmental responsibility.
During the activity, participants planted lavender, roses, jasmine, hibiscus, and wisteria, contributing to the creation of a more beautiful, welcoming, and sustainable green space open to the entire community. The planting was designed not only as an environmental action but also as an opportunity for collaboration and human connection.
The event brought together members of the local community and refugees, providing an open setting for interaction, cooperation, and a shared sense of belonging. Through this activity, we once again demonstrated that simple initiatives, carried out together, can have a real impact on quality of life and help build a more united and supportive community.
We thank all participants for their involvement, energy, and enthusiasm, as well as for their willingness to actively contribute to creating a greener and more community-friendly environment.
The activity was organized within the project “Strengthening Resilience through Employment and Social Cohesion”, implemented by a consortium consisting of Helvetas, HEKS/EPER Moldova, and the Norwegian Refugee Council, with financial support from Swiss Solidarity and Swiss Cooperation in Moldova.
