A Week About Friendship, Trust and Cohesion: CRDC Organized a Summer Camp for Children

Between 22–26 June 2026, the Regional Center for Community Development, in partnership with Community Center Cahul, organized a social cohesion camp for refugee children, migrant children and children from the local community.

The activity took place at Community Center Cahul and brought together children aged 8 to 12, offering them a safe, friendly and inclusive space for interaction, learning and socialization.

The aim of the camp was to strengthen social cohesion among refugee children, migrant children and children from the local community through educational, recreational and creative activities adapted to the participants’ age.

Over the course of five days, the children took part in creative workshops, sports activities, interactive games, dances, music and group exercises. The program also included thematic sessions dedicated to friendship, online safety, trust, cooperation and mutual respect.

The activities were designed to encourage communication, teamwork and the development of positive relationships among children. Through non-formal methods and interactive exercises, participants had the opportunity to express their ideas, collaborate and learn from one another in an open and safe environment.

The organization of the camp reflects CRDC’s commitment to contributing to the creation of inclusive community spaces where children from different backgrounds can interact naturally and build relationships based on trust, respect and solidarity.

We thank the children for their participation, the parents for their trust, the facilitators for their involvement and the partners who contributed to the successful implementation of the activities.

This project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union, contracted by ICMPD through the Migration Partnership Facility. Its content is the sole responsibility of the Regional Center for Community Development and does not necessarily reflect the position of the European Union.
