“The Voices of Young Community Journalists of A.O. C.R.D.C.: Anufriev Olga”
Anufriev Olga is a young community journalist from the village of Leca, Cantemir district, who through her dedication and passion for the cultural life of her community has managed to bring a major issue to the attention of local authorities — the poor condition of the village Cultural Center. A student at the “Dimitrie Cantemir” Theoretical Lyceum in Cantemir, Olga is an active and courageous voice committed to preserving traditions and promoting the cultural values of her home community.
In her article, Olga captured the reality of a Cultural Center that, despite being an important space for social interaction and cultural events, is in an advanced state of deterioration. Her article highlighted safety concerns for event participants, underlining the real risks faced by both performers and audience members.
The impact of the article was immediate: within just one week of its publication, local authorities began discussing a series of renovation measures for the Cultural Center. These included the construction of an outdoor sanitary facility, the renovation of the entrance staircase, and the procurement of an air-conditioning unit to ensure a safer and more comfortable environment for all participants.
Through her active involvement and ability to turn reality into words, Anufriev Olga demonstrated the power of community journalism to generate tangible change for the benefit of the community. This success highlights the essential role of young women journalists as agents of change and active contributors to decision-making processes within their communities. Olga is a clear example of how the voice of a single individual can influence important decisions and contribute to improving living conditions at the community level.

Olga’s experience within the project
“My experience of writing an article goes beyond simply putting words on paper — it is a process of research, analysis, and clearly communicating what affects and concerns us in our village. When I started writing about the issue of the Cultural Center, I did so with hope and motivation to create change, because the first step begins with us. To achieve results, we must move forward without fear and with confidence in ourselves.”
