“The Voices of Young Community Journalists of A.O. C.R.D.C.: Țaruc Natalia”
Natalia Țaruc is a support teacher at the “Mihai Eminescu” Gymnasium in Cantemir, a community journalist, and a dedicated volunteer who believes in the power of education to shape informed and responsible generations. Through her active involvement in community development projects, she promotes non-formal education, civic participation, and awareness of European processes among young people in her community. Through her articles, Natalia has brought essential topics to public attention, emphasizing the role of education in preparing young people for a future in which they can make informed decisions and actively contribute to society.
One of her main objectives within the “V.O.C.E.” project was to inform young people from Cantemir and Antonești about the importance of the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union. To make this process more accessible and engaging, Natalia chose an interactive method — the “European Path” game — an activity designed to clearly and dynamically explain the stages of European integration and the benefits of this process for the Republic of Moldova.
Additionally, Natalia initiated the organization of a training for young people from the localities of Antonești and Leca, ensuring its implementation with the support of trainer Vitalie Cazacu. During the training, participants explored the concept of community journalism and learned how to identify and report local issues, becoming more aware of the importance of civic engagement. Through this initiative, Natalia aims to support the younger generation in raising awareness among the community and decision-makers about existing challenges.

Natalia’s experience within the project
“The experience of writing an article is a challenge that makes you reflect from the very beginning. Choosing the right topic is not always easy, and finding the appropriate angle requires time and thought. Once you start writing, ideas begin to take shape, and the process becomes increasingly engaging. You strive to convey a clear and relevant message. However, beyond the satisfaction of completing the article, there is also the emotion of waiting for feedback — a mix of anticipation and curiosity.”
