“The Voices of Young Community Journalists of A.O. C.R.D.C.: Coșer Daria”

Coșer Daria, a student at the Public Institution Cahul Medical College, an active volunteer and community journalist, addressed an important issue affecting the commune of Cania — the degradation of the Tigheci River caused by waste pollution. In her article, Daria highlighted how the Tigheci River has become a clear example of the negative effects of irresponsible environmental behavior.

In recent years, the river has experienced a significant decline, with a reduced water volume and severely deteriorated water quality. Its banks are covered with household and industrial waste discarded by individuals who fail to recognize the impact of pollution on the environment.

Daria calls for a change in collective mindset regarding environmental protection. She emphasizes the need to educate the community about the impact that individual and collective actions can have on nature. Protecting rivers and other natural resources can only be achieved through active collaboration between authorities, environmental organizations, and citizens.

The article written by Daria highlights the importance of environmental education and responsibility toward the natural environment. It serves as a call to action for all residents living near the Tigheci River, as well as for all citizens who wish to live in a clean and healthy environment.

Daria’s experience within the project

“Through this project, I realized how important it is to pay attention to details that may seem insignificant but actually have a real impact on those around us. Writing this article taught me not only how to analyze situations, but also how to bring them to the attention of the community.”
