“The Voices of Young Community Journalists of A.O. C.R.D.C.: Gațanoga Denisa”
Gațanoga Denisa, a student at the Albota de Jos Gymnasium, is an active and engaged young woman whose voice is heard across various local and regional initiatives, and most importantly, within her own community. Although she is still at the beginning of her journey, Denisa has shown a strong commitment to improving living conditions in her locality.
Recently, Denisa identified an important issue related to the condition of the park in Albota de Jos, specifically the presence of dried trees that negatively affected the area’s appearance. Following this observation, a process of mobilization and awareness-raising among local authorities was initiated, calling for solutions to address the problem. As a result, a meeting was organized with the local mayor, during which it was agreed to revise the urban development plan and allocate financial resources for the procurement and planting of new trees.
Through her involvement, Denisa demonstrated how community journalism can play a vital role in addressing local issues and how young people can actively contribute to solving the challenges faced by their communities.

Denisa’s experience within the project
“Writing articles gave me the opportunity to communicate ideas, debate issues, and find solutions. Through community journalism, we can inspire, educate, and positively influence the community, and participating in this project helped me grow personally and bring my home locality into focus. Even though it seemed difficult at first, I gained confidence and started writing about community issues. I especially enjoyed participating in the meeting with the local public authorities, where I learned new things, discussed solutions, and understood the steps needed to resolve local problems.”
