Martisor Craft Workshop – A Step Toward Strengthening Community Cohesion

Martisor Craft Workshop – A Step Toward Strengthening Community Cohesion

The Martisor craft workshop brought together members of the local community and refugees in a safe, friendly, and collaboration-oriented space. The activity was designed as a platform for intercultural dialogue and authentic interaction, where tradition intertwined with the desire to bring people closer together.

Inspired by the symbolism of the Martisor — a sign of spring, renewal, and hope — the workshop offered participants the opportunity to create together, exchange experiences, and discover shared values. Working in mixed teams, they crafted Martisors in various designs, while the creative process encouraged natural conversations and sincere connections.

The purpose of the activity was to strengthen social cohesion and support interaction between the host community and refugees. Through initiatives of this kind, we aim to promote inclusion, mutual trust, and active participation in community life.

At CRDC, we believe that a strong community is built through real encounters, collaboration, and shared experiences. The Martisor craft workshop marked another step in this direction, contributing to the creation of a space where people feel welcomed and connected.
