CRDC Participates in Communication Labs for CSOs – A New Step Towards a More Engaged Community

On 8–9 September 2026, the team of A.O. Centrul Regional de Dezvoltare Comunitară took part in the launch event of Communication Labs for CSOs, organised within the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Facility, funded by the European Union.

CRDC is one of the 10 civil society organisations from the Republic of Moldova selected for this edition of the programme, which will provide mentoring and support over the coming months for the development of communication campaigns that are closer to people and to the communities in which the organisations work.

For our team, participation in Comm.Labs starts from a question we have been asking ourselves more and more often lately: how do we turn the people who follow our work, take part in our events or know our projects into a community that stays close and chooses to get involved?

An idea that starts with people

On the first day of the event, each of the 10 participating organisations presented its campaign idea and the direction it would like to develop.

For CRDC, this direction is “CRDC Community: People Who Get Involved” — a campaign through which we want to bring people closer to the organisation and create more opportunities for them to contribute to what we are building together.

Over the years, volunteers, young people, event participants, partners, parents, professionals and people who follow our initiatives have gathered around CRDC. Through this campaign, we want our connection with them to become closer and more consistent, so that involvement does not end when a project or event comes to an end.

Who we are and what we want to communicate

The second day was dedicated to more in-depth work on the campaigns.

We discussed who we are as an organisation, who we are speaking to, what brings people closer to a cause and, most importantly, what we want CRDC to communicate beyond projects, activities and results.

For us, the answer comes down to something simple: people choose to get involved when they feel that what is happening around them has meaning, that they can contribute and that their presence truly matters.

That is why our campaign will focus on people, their stories and simple, accessible ways of getting involved — through volunteering, participation in activities, promoting our initiatives, redirecting the 2% of income tax, or other ways in which someone can choose to stand with CRDC.

More than two days of work

Comm.Labs was also an opportunity to get to know other organisations from the Republic of Moldova better, listen to their experiences and discover challenges that are often very similar to our own.

Beyond the working sessions and presentations, what stayed with us were the conversations, the exchange of ideas and the sense that different organisations from different communities can have the same questions and the same desire to build something meaningful.

For the CRDC team, these two days were only the beginning.

In the coming months, together with the Comm.Labs mentors, we will continue working on the “CRDC Community: People Who Get Involved” campaign, turning this idea into a campaign that will help us stay closer to the people who believe in what we do.

Because a community is not built through projects alone.

It is built through trust, relationships and people who choose to stay close.

Alongside people.
