Our Organization’s Success within the PRACTIC 2024 Program

The year 2024 was filled with remarkable achievements for our team, thanks to our participation in the PRACTIC Program, implemented by Centrul CONTACT with financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

This program was a valuable opportunity for our organization to strengthen its institutional capacities and become more resilient in the face of challenges. Here are some of our main accomplishments:

1. Obtaining Public Utility Status

With the support of mentors from the PRACTIC Program, we successfully completed all necessary steps to obtain Public Utility Status. This status officially recognizes our significant contribution to community development and opens up new opportunities for collaboration with public authorities and international partners.

2. Development of the Constituents Engagement Plan

During the first training module, “CSO Relations with the Public and Constituents,” we clearly defined who our constituents are, the importance of our relationship with them, and the benefits of consistent communication. The concrete outcome was the development of a Constituents Engagement Plan, which now guides us in building lasting relationships with our beneficiaries and partners.

3. Development of the Fundraising Policy

In the “Local Fundraising” module, we identified key funding sources, learned effective ways to mobilize local financial resources, and developed a Fundraising Policy. This policy enables us to diversify our funding streams, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the organization.

4. Accreditation for the 2% Income Tax Redirection Mechanism

Another major achievement was obtaining accreditation to benefit from the 2% income tax redirection mechanism—an important tool for attracting financial support from the community.

The PRACTIC Program’s Impact on Our Organization

Participation in the PRACTIC Program provided us not only with new knowledge but also the opportunity to work directly with field experts. We benefited from training and mentoring sessions that supported our organizational development and the implementation of essential policies and strategies for our success.
