CRDC launches the project “Local Mechanisms for Inclusion and Protection of Migrants and Refugees in Cahul”

The Regional Community Development Center (CRDC) launches a new project aimed at strengthening inclusion and protection for migrants and refugees in the municipality of Cahul. The project “Local Mechanisms for Inclusion and Protection of Migrants and Refugees in Cahul” places people at its core and promotes collaboration between local institutions, civil society organizations, and the community.

Why is this project important?

Migration brings multiple challenges, both for people arriving in a new community and for local institutions providing support. Through this project, we aim to contribute to the development of clearer, more functional, and accessible mechanisms, ensuring that everyone knows where to seek assistance and feels a sense of belonging within the community.

A key focus will be placed on strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, clarifying referral pathways, and facilitating dialogue among relevant local stakeholders.

Who are the beneficiaries?

The direct beneficiaries of the project are migrants and refugees in the municipality of Cahul, who will gain easier access to information and support services. At the same time, the entire community will benefit from more efficient inclusion, communication, and protection mechanisms, contributing to social cohesion and a safer, more open community environment.

CRDC’s mission continues

Through this initiative, CRDC continues its mission to build inclusive communities where every person feels safe, respected, and supported. We believe that inclusion starts with accurate information, collaboration, and empathy.
