Students from Cahul explored stereotypes and inclusion through an interactive activity

Students of the “Dmitrie Cantemir” Theoretical Lyceum in Cahul took part in an educational activity focused on combating stereotypes and prejudices, with a particular emphasis on the inclusion of refugee children in the community and school environment.

The activity aimed to develop critical thinking and empathy among young people, providing them with a safe space for reflection and dialogue. Through interactive and non-formal methods, participants explored what stereotypes are, how they are formed, and how they influence behaviors and relationships.

During the session, students engaged in practical exercises, role plays, and group discussions, which helped them better understand the impact of prejudice and stigmatization. The activities encouraged open expression and contributed to creating a participatory and inclusive learning environment.

An important part of the session focused on identifying solutions through which young people can contribute to a more inclusive school environment. Participants discussed the importance of mutual respect, acceptance of diversity, and active involvement in preventing discrimination.

Through such initiatives, the Regional Center for Community Development continues to support inclusive education and the development of social skills among young people, contributing to building more open, supportive, and responsible communities.
